Hi, I'm Erin.

I have been photographing newborns and families for over 12 years. I have been in the delivery room within hours of a baby arriving. I have sat on nursery floors at 9 in the morning while a two-week-old finally settled and the light came through just right. I have watched families change — first baby, second baby, family of five — and I have been there to document all of it.

That kind of work matters to me. Not just the images, but the whole thing. Being trusted with the most important seasons of people's lives is something I take seriously, and I never stop being grateful for it.

My Approach to Lifestyle Sessions

What I actually do in your home

I am not the photographer who shows up with a shot list and a lighting kit and directs everyone into positions they will hold for exactly 45 minutes. That is not who I am and it is not what your family looks like anyway.

I show up, I get to know your space, and I watch. The way your toddler climbs on your husband while you are trying to get the baby to sleep, that is the photo. The look on your face when you finally get a minute to just hold your newborn quietly, that is the photo. I am not staging those moments. I am just there when they happen.

My sessions are in-home, unhurried, and completely documentary in style. I serve families across Greenville, Simpsonville, Laurens, Anderson, and the SC Upstate. If you are expecting and looking for a photographer who will make the whole experience feel easy, I would love to be that person for you.

Why I keep coming back to newborns

I have photographed a lot of things over 12 years. Weddings, events, headshots, all of it. Newborns are what I kept coming back to.

There is something about being in a home with a family in those first weeks that nothing else compares to. The house is quiet but also completely chaotic. Everyone is exhausted and overwhelmed and so completely in love. The light at 10 am in a bedroom is unlike anything a studio can replicate. And the baby — they are only this small once. That is not a cliche. It is the thing that makes this work feel urgent every single time.

I want you to have something to look back at that makes you feel all of it again. Not a posed portrait on a white backdrop. The real thing.

Unhurried sessions

We follow the baby's pace, not the clock's. Most parents show up a little nervous, and leave feeling like it was way easier than they expected. That's the goal.

What to expect working with me

The way I work

Classic, timeless editing

Soft, warm light that looks just as beautiful in twenty years. Not trendy. Not overdone. Just your family, exactly as you are right now.

A long-term relationship

I want to be the photographer you come back to. The one your kids run toward because they've done this before. That's what I'm building with every family I work with.

Guidance from start to finish

What to wear, where to stand, what to do with a toddler who won't stop moving. I've got you. You just have to show up.

Images you'll actually use

Heirloom albums, wall art, printed galleries. I care about what happens after the session. Not just the gallery delivery.

Real moments, not performances

No matching outfits required (unless you want them). No stiff poses. The way your baby grabs your finger, the way your family actually is together. That's what's worth keeping.

Three dogs in a backyard with a wooden fence, one golden doodle puppy standing in the foreground with a happy expression, two smaller dogs lying on the grass nearby, a partially visible curtain on the left side, and a cloudy sky in the background.
A woman with long dark hair, wearing a denim jacket, sitting at a wooden table, holding a cup of latte with latte art, with a matching latte on a white saucer in front of her. The background consists of a black wall and white upper wall.
View of a canal in Venice, Italy, with gondolas and colorful historic buildings along the water.
A smiling man with a beard and a woman with curly hair smiling, standing near the water with boats and buildings in the background during sunset.

A little about me

outside of work

I live in Piedmont, SC with my husband and our three dogs — Indy, who is an 80-pound Goldendoodle with zero awareness of his size, Manao, who is 10 pounds and fully in charge, and Stroodle, a little bit psycho, a whole lot of sweet. Between sessions, you will usually find me relaxing in my hammock, working on something around the house, or planning a home project I will absolutely start and not finish for six months.

I also run The Brand Darkroom, a web design and SEO studio built exclusively for photographers. If you found me through that work, hello, and yes, I built my own site.

What we can do together

Sessions for every season of family life

Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, I'd be honored to document this season.
