Heirloom Children's Portraits in Greenville, SC
Heirloom Portraits
creating cherished keepsakes that stand the test of time
Some photographs are meant to be displayed for a weekend. These are meant to be moved from house to house for the next forty years.
Heirloom portraits are intentional, quiet images — just your child, soft natural light, and a simple backdrop that keeps every bit of focus on their face. No props, no busy backgrounds, no distractions. Just the kind of portrait your grandmother would have hung in the hallway, and that your grandchildren will someday ask about.
We offer both color and black and white options, and every order can be paired with professional framing so your portrait arrives ready to hang. These are not gallery-to-drive photos. These are art.

Heirloom Experience
A GLIMPSE INTO OUR SESSIONS
Your child's portrait sitting takes about 15 minutes. Short on purpose — children stay relaxed and engaged for a focused sitting in a way they often don't for longer sessions. In those 15 minutes, I get to know your little one, find their smile, and capture the expressions that are uniquely theirs right now, at this exact age.
After your session, I'll send over a proof gallery for you to choose your favorites. Your sitting fee includes:
Photographer's time and talent during the session
Access to your private proof gallery
Professional editing on 5 final images chosen from that gallery
Both color and black and white versions available
Framing options discussed after your session for your final order
Siblings: Siblings can be photographed on the same day at a discounted rate. Sessions are kept separate so each child gets their own focused time — but back-to-back on the same visit works beautifully.
Investment: Heirloom portrait sittings start at $350. Ready to get your date on the calendar?

Our
Not Every Portrait Ages Well.
These Do.
Most session photos are wonderful for a year or two, they capture a stage, a season, a feeling. Heirloom portraits are built for longer than that.
The approach is intentional simplicity. Clean background. Simple clothing. Soft, consistent studio light. Nothing that will look dated in ten years, because there's nothing trendy in the frame. Just your child's face, their expression, and the way they looked at this exact age.
It's a small sitting with a long life.
MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Hey! I’m Erin
I'm a photographer based in the Piedmont, SC area specializing in newborn, family, and heirloom portrait photography. I've been photographing families across the Greenville and Upstate SC area for years, and heirloom sittings are some of my most meaningful work.
My studio is calm, simple, and designed to feel comfortable — for your child and for you. Most kids warm up quickly. And once they do, that's when the real portraits happen.
I'd love to photograph your little one.
Questions About Heirloom Portraits
-
Heirloom portraits are individual children's portraits in the classic tradition — simple backgrounds, soft studio light, and a short, focused sitting. The goal is a single beautiful image of your child at this age, printed and framed to last generations. They're quieter and more intentional than a full family or lifestyle session.

About 15 minutes. That's intentional. Children tend to stay relaxed and cooperative for a short, focused sitting better than a longer one, and in 15 minutes, we can get everything we need.
-
Simple and classic almost always photographs best. Solid colors, timeless styles, nothing too trendy or busy. I'll send over specific guidance when you book so you're not guessing.

Both. Heirloom portraits work beautifully from around when your child can sit up unassisted through school age and beyond. If you're wondering whether your child's age is a good fit, just ask. I'm happy to talk it through.
