Greenville Maternity Photographer

There is a specific kind of light that only happens during pregnancy. A softness in how you move, a quiet anticipation in the room, the way your hand keeps finding its way to your belly without you noticing. That is what I am here to photograph.

I am Erin, a maternity and newborn photographer based in Greenville, South Carolina, and I make portraits that feel like you actually felt in this season, not stiff, not overly posed, just warm and real and a little bit golden.

A Maternity Session That Feels Like You

Most expecting moms tell me the same thing before a session: they feel unsure, a little self conscious, not sure what to do with their hands. By the end, they are relaxed, laughing, and surprised at how beautiful the images turned out.

That is the whole point. My job is to direct you gently so you never have to wonder what to do, and to create images that hold onto exactly how this chapter felt. Whether you want flowing dresses and open fields at sunset, or something soft and intimate at home, your session is built around you.

Maternity sessions are best photographed between 28 and 34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you are still comfortable enough to move and enjoy the experience.

Why Book Maternity and Newborn Together

Here is the honest truth most people do not realize until it is too late: maternity and newborn photography are two halves of the same story, and they are almost impossible to recreate once the moment passes.

Your maternity session captures the anticipation. Your newborn session captures the arrival. Photographed together, they become a single, complete record of how your family grew, and the difference in the gallery is striking.

Booking both together is the best way to do this, and not just sentimentally:

  • Newborn sessions happen within the first two weeks of life, when those sleepy, curled-up poses are still possible. Booking ahead means your spot is held the moment baby arrives, no scrambling.

  • Same photographer, same style, same editing. Your maternity and newborn galleries belong together on the wall instead of looking like two unrelated shoots.

  • Booking the two sessions together costs less than booking each one separately later.

  • In those first foggy newborn weeks, having your photographer already booked and someone you met before baby arrives, is one decision you will be grateful you made early.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I schedule my maternity session? The sweet spot is 28 to 34 weeks. Reach out earlier than that so we can plan ahead and reserve your newborn date too.

What if I only want maternity photos? That is completely fine, maternity-only sessions are available. Most clients choose to add a newborn once they hear how the two work together, but there is no pressure.

Where do sessions take place? Outdoor locations across Greenville and the Upstate, or in the comfort of your own home. We decide together based on the look you want.

How far in advance should I book? The earlier the better, especially for newborn dates, which are limited each month and fill quickly around peak due dates.
