Lifestyle Family Photographer in Greenville, SC
My Approach
Family photos that feel authentically you.
Family sessions are for every season. The one right after the baby comes home. The one when your youngest is finally old enough to run around and your oldest is almost too cool to hold your hand. The one you almost didn't book because you couldn't figure out what everyone was going to wear. All of them are worth it. All of them go fast.
I'm a lifestyle family photographer serving Greenville, Simpsonville, Laurens, and the SC Upstate. My sessions are relaxed, unhurried, and built around the way your family actually is — not the way you think you're supposed to look in photos. Kids can move. Parents can laugh. Nobody has to hold a perfect smile for longer than half a second.
Session Details
What a family session with me looks like
I don't direct a lot. I show up, I watch how your family moves together, and I photograph that. What usually happens is your kids do something hilarious, you react without thinking about it, and that becomes the photo you hang on your wall.
Here's how a session typically goes:
-
We talk through location, timing, and what your family is hoping to capture. I'll send you a style guide with outfit ideas to make getting dressed easier. Most of the planning happens before we ever meet in person, so the session itself can just feel like a family outing.
-
Sessions run about an hour. I'll suggest a location based on your style and the season, or we can use a spot that's meaningful to you. I'll give loose direction to get everyone in the frame and then step back. Some of my favorite images come from the moments between the posed ones.
-
Your gallery will be ready within 2 weeks. You'll receive a full mix of candid and connected images — the real stuff alongside the ones you'll use for holiday cards.

Real families.
Real moments.
No two sessions ever look the same — just like no two families are the same.
The Saturday Morning Session
Some families want something a little more intentional. The Saturday Morning Session is a signature offering built for that.
Here's the idea: Saturday mornings have a particular quality to them. Nobody is rushed. The light is soft. Kids are still in their pajamas or just barely out of them. It's the most natural version of your family — unhurried, at home, just being together. That's what I want to photograph.
What's included:
A relaxed, lifestyle session at your home or a location of your choosing
20 fully edited digital images delivered to your online gallery
One 11x14 framed fine art print, ready to hang
The framed print is included because I believe in getting images off your phone and onto your walls. You'll choose your favorite image from the gallery, and I'll take care of the rest.
Who books family sessions?
Most of my family clients fall into a few camps:
The newborn families who come back. A lot of my family session clients first booked me for a newborn session. Once the baby is a little older, they want updated photos of the whole family together. I love this because I already know your people.
The "we haven't done this in years" families. You know who you are. The kids are getting older, everyone looks different, and you keep saying you'll do it. This is the year.
The milestone families. First birthdays, last summers before kindergarten, pregnancies, big moves — any season worth remembering is worth photographing.
If you're not sure whether a family session is the right fit, reach out. We can figure it out together.
Also looking for a newborn session?
If you're expecting, I'd love to talk about a newborn session too. Many families book both — a Fresh 48 at the hospital, an in-home newborn session in those first weeks, and a family session later in the year. I offer bundle pricing for families who want to document more than one milestone.
FAQs
What should we wear? Coordinated but not matching. Think about a color palette, two or three tones that work together — and let everyone wear something in that range. I'll send you a full style guide when you book. Comfort matters more than perfection, especially for little kids.
How far in advance should I book? For spring and fall sessions, I recommend booking 4 to 6 weeks out at minimum. Those are my busiest seasons and dates fill up fast. Summer and winter sessions usually have more flexibility.
What if my kids don't cooperate? This comes up a lot and the honest answer is: it usually works out. Kids are unpredictable and I've photographed enough of them to know how to work with that rather than against it. I'm not going to pressure anyone to perform. If a kid needs a snack break or a five-minute reset, we take it.
Do you shoot at golden hour? Yes, and I love it. Sessions in the hour before sunset have the best light. Sessions with small children tend to be scheduled in the mornings, but I'll factor your kids' schedules and temperaments into timing recommendations; a tired toddler at 7pm is a different situation than a well-napped one
Do you travel outside Greenville? Yes. I serve families across the Upstate, including Simpsonville, Laurens, Anderson, Greer, Mauldin, Easley, and Fountain Inn. A travel fee applies for sessions outside a 30-mile radius of Piedmont, SC.
Can we include extended family? Absolutely. Multi-generational sessions are some of my favorites. Just let me know the headcount when you reach out so I can plan timing accordingly.
