Goodbyes Are Hard

Goodbyes are really hard.

I have learned through this season of transition that when you fully invest in your community it makes it that much harder to leave, but its the deep relationships that make it all worth it!

I am beyond thankful to have something that is so hard to say goodbye to!

I am excited about this big adventure I am about to embark on in 2 days and I am overwhelmed at the amount of love and support that I have been shown by so many! I have no doubt that I am going where I am supposed to be and following the call of the lord on my life and that makes me excited and gives me great peace! I am ready for the ups and downs of living in a foreign country and I am excited about making new friendships and meeting new people to share and show the Gospel to! I am excited about exploring new places and learning a new language!

But all that doesn't make leaving any easier!

Saying goodbye is the hardest part of leaving and the tears are no joke!

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
— ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:1-8, 11‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I have been recovering from driving away from Anderson on Monday and have had a lot of time to think about season in life. I can't help but to think that "there is a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted" is a little taste of my seasons changing. I planted and had to pluck it up and now I get to plant again, in Thailand, using everything I learned from the previous season!

I have one more full day in America and I can't wait to spend it with my family doing a million last minute errands!

Will you join in prayer for all of the teachers as they return to school and some travel to Thailand for the very first time! My roommate is Amie and she is actually on her way right now, will you cover her in prayer as she travels and that the Lord would give her rest and peace!
