Questions I hear all the time

As soon as you know you're expecting, or at the very latest by your second trimester. Newborn spots fill up months in advance because I can only photograph so many families each month. I hold your spot based on your due date and we'll connect as you get closer to confirm timing.

Completely fine. I build flexibility into every due date booking specifically for this reason. Once your baby arrives, we'll connect and schedule based on when they're actually here. I aim to photograph newborns in their first two to three weeks when they're sleepiest and most settled, but I've worked with babies up to five or six weeks and the sessions are still beautiful.

No. And I mean that genuinely. I work with natural light and I know how to find the best spots in your home. The mess doesn't make it into your images. What does make it in is the softness of your bedroom light, the texture of your favorite throw blanket, and the way your home actually feels. Clean enough that you're not embarrassed. That's the bar.

Yes. I'm based in Piedmont and regularly photograph families in Simpsonville, Easley, Anderson, Laurens, and beyond. For sessions more than 30 miles from Piedmont, a small travel fee applies. Reach out with your location and I'll give you a straight answer.

Yes. A retainer is required to reserve your spot, with the remaining balance due before your session. Extended payment plans are available for collections and memberships. Just ask.

Then we take our time. My sessions are built around baby's pace, not a clock. Crying, feeding, soothing, changing, repeat, this is completely normal and I've photographed through all of it. I've never left a session without beautiful images, even on the fussiest days. I'll guide you through calming techniques if you want them, or just work around what's happening naturally.

I send a wardrobe guide as part of your welcome materials, but the short version is: soft neutrals, simple textures, layers you can take on and off easily. Avoid large logos, busy patterns, or neon colors. You don't need to match exactly, just coordinate loosely. When in doubt, send me a photo of your outfits and I'll give you honest feedback before the session.

Yes to siblings, and a careful yes to pets. Siblings are a normal part of the session and I love those images. Dogs can be great for a few frames, but they also require wrangling, so I usually bring them in toward the end once we have all the baby-and-family shots we need. We'll talk through what makes sense for your household.

Plan for two to three hours, sometimes a little longer with a fussy baby. There's no hard stop time. I stay until we have everything we need.

Most sessions deliver between 30 and 50 fully edited images. You'll receive a private online gallery with download access. I'll also walk you through print and product options after you've had a chance to look through your images.

Your gallery will be delivered within three weeks of your session, and often sooner. I know you're eager and I don't make you wait months. A quick turnaround is something my clients consistently mention in their reviews, and it's something I'm intentional about.
