The Holidays, Family and The Island of Phuket
It's been awhile...5 months and some change have passed since I moved here, and everyday I feel like is a new adventure...but one adventure I must share is my family holiday takeover we called it...#spruellstakethailand!
The whole family came to Thailand for christmas this year, well not the whole family but the majority of them! Last year when I told my family I was going to move to Thailand my mom immediately said lets go for Christmas. Now to be honest, I didn't think it would ever happen but after talking with the grandparents it became a reality and the vacation was booked before I even left in August. I had something to look forward to all year, my family...even my untraveled parents, would be getting on a plane and flying to the other side of the world to spend their Christmas in Thailand. It seemed like a dream, a dream I never even had.
When they got here I seriously could not believe that they were here. It was so much fun showing them around Bangkok, the place I call home and then jumping on a plane to relax and vacation on the island of Phuket.
This Christmas was one for the books and one that I will cherish forever. Getting to share my love of Thailand with them was so special and I am so thankful my grandparents made it all possible. I am truly blessed and so thankful!
First things first, The Grand Palace!
A little Christmas presents that came in the form of a suitcase for both Esther and I!
A Christmas Day tip to the Floating Market...a Thailand "Must See"!
A Sunset Christmas Dinner on the river with the fam and my two favourite asians!
The Day after Christmas we headed south to the beach and it was awesome...i didn't take out my camera until we rode elephants though, because how could you not!
I have so much love for this goofball!
Thankful for my sister, she is a diva sometimes but I still love her and was very proud of her adventurous endeavours in Thailand and her fascination of learning the culture and how to say words in Thai!
The Last night we spent ringing in the New Year together sending off lanterns and sparklers!
