Five Thanksgivings Later...

The CKM mission team has come and gone...that means Thanksgiving is behind us and the only thing between here and Christmas is well...Christmas Eve!

This year was my 5th year spending Thanksgiving in Thailand...crazy right.
(I got to come on 2 CKM mission teams before I moved here so if you are doing the math thats how!) To some people this may seem kinda sad...5 Thanksgivings away from my family but its actually one of my favorite weeks of the year! God used my time on the mission team 3 years ago to call me here and each time a team comes I am refreshed and reminded of the simple call and the desire He planted in my heart to see Thai people come to know Him! It really is the most special reminder and I love that I get to be here and live it out even if it means missing holidays and friends...its totally worth it!

I knew the mission team was going to be good this year the moment my friends Justin and Jess told me they were leading it. I was so excited that I would have some great friends come step into my world for a week. Then add a bunch of other people I love from different seasons of life and you got yourself a recipe for the best week ever! (Also shout out to Tucker...if you are following along my life via social media...you know that, in October when I went home for Brittany's proposal there was this guy and we kinda fell for each other and we started dating and he was always coming on the team...so he came too.) Crazy right?! Could it get any sweeter?....I don't think so!

So before the week even started I knew it was going to be amazing and the anticipation was real! And God is good and it really was an amazing week. Not only because of the people on the team, though they definitely made it that much more special, but the ministry we got to be a part of was so good.

We got to go to 11 schools throughout the week and share the gospel with students of all ages. From kindergarten to college students we literally did it all! It was so cool to see students hear the gospel for the first time and feel the love of Jesus by a simple smile and conversation.

Each year I am so blown away by the team because its just so unique. The school I work for full time, GES, uses the week to build relationships with schools we want to partner with, share the gospel with and invest in hopefully long term. Over the past 5 years we have been invited to more and more schools, just simply because its a group of native English speakers who can come and teach their students English. We just so happen to use the gospel as our curriculum. I still am so humbled that the tool the Lord uses for our ministry in Thailand is the simple fact that we speak English and were born in an English speaking country. It blows my mind, but I am so thankful that this is what God uses because it means anyone can come and be a part of what God is doing here in Thailand and it makes the gospel so accessible!

I am so thankful that I got to see my friends come and share the gospel in Thailand. I loved getting to show them a taste of my life here and I know I am going to forever treasure the moments of the week because they really were amazing gifts from the Lord!

Here are some of the moments I caught on camera!

I also had some fun taking the team around and being tourists, seeing temples, riding boats, eating good food and sweating our faces off!
